When I first got here, I said “Wow! This is wonderful!” When I left a week later, I said “Wow! This is wonderful!”

Our family arrived today. We were all keeping a secret. So as we all tried to peek through the windows, hiding behind curtains, we watched our oldest son and his girlfriend disappear behind some casaurina trees down the beach. A most glorious red, orange and pink sunset contrasted against the aqua waters surrounding the Cay. Our son took a small box, kneeled in front of his girlfriend and with a diamond that sparkled like the stars, he asked her to be his wife. The answer was . . . . yes! What a beautiful start to vacation as well as a new life! There could not have been a more beautiful setting. We will remember this day all of our lives.

The Cay House is lovely, the view spectacular. The kids enjoyed swimming, star gazing, and a bon fire complete with s’mores. We all enjoyed a hike by the winding, rough terrain at the Glass Window Bridge and surrounding area. It was so breath taking to see the Atlantic cliffs and how the water meets with the Caribbean. The dark contrast of the Atlantic with the aqua of the Caribbean. We took a quick tour of a local cave complete with tide pools. The kids loved it! One rainy day, we toured south to as far as Savannah Sound. We toured Governor’s Harbour with its historic church and library. We all had lunch at the new Sunset Inn. Our favorite place to dine, however, was Rainbow Inn!

Zev the owner was also helpful and took us spear fishing. He and his family were very warm. In fact, I have never been to a place where the people are so warm, friendly and helpful while asking nothing in return.

Eric and Jon did a half-day fishing trip off Harbour Island while Hannah and I enjoyed shopping and the beach. That night it was a fresh fish buffet at our house. How great! We all swam around the cay. The kids enjoyed jumping off the end into the water. At night I have never seen so many starts. How beautiful just to gaze for hours.

We played games at night, too. Very relaxed, laid back evenings. We all took several trips to Harbour Island. The pink beaches, shopping and best of all, golf cart riding was a blast. We could not have wished for a better vacation! Thank you so much for sharing it all with us.

We are finished with our vacation here and are going home to New Jersey. This is a most beautiful home and amazing setting. The swim to the cay is so pretty and calming! We went about halfway down the island on a day adventure and also went to Harbour Island a few times and had a fantastic time.
